01 ✖ THE WORLD OUTSIDE OF THE WELL
I - [action, morning, 1125 Taylor]
[It was very, very odd. What does waking up feel like to a person who thought they were dead? They'd think it was some sort of afterlife, right? In Mion's case, yes. Color her the most confused when she opened her eyes to see sunlight.
Sunlight, no. The last time she'd closed her eyes, it had been the dead of night. They were getting picked off one by one, death by horrible death, by...who was killing them? Who had done it? For the life of her, she couldn't remember. It was someone she knew, someone all of them knew, someone so familiar it the shock of learning it hit her harder than actually getting shot.
It was.
Her? Takano?]
The...hell...?
[So Mion sits up in bed, and rubs her eyes. She peers out the window beside her.
and things got even more confusing. A white house with a clean picket fence? Fresh-cut grass and leaves falling off of autumnal trees? It looked like some kind of place from a child's storybook, not anything like she town she'd grown up in. This frankly all seemed like a type of karmic purgatory to her. Was she really dead, though? She pinched herself and the pain sensation seemed real enough.
In a panic only someone like Mion could muster, she immediately scrambled out of her door, down the stairs, and into the kitchen. If a housemate chooses to come and investigate the sudden racket, they will see one (1) Mion, sitting at the kitchen table with a pot of coffee boiling, singing something very odd and looking a little dazed.] Swing loooow, sweet chaaaaariot...
II - [phone - evening]
Uh. Hi. Guess I'm not dead afterall. Which is good. But it'd also be kinda cool to consciously see the afterlife. [A pause.] Is anyone from Hinamizawa here? I have some friends I'd like to get into contact with. As soon as possible. I need to make sure they're not all dead, too.
III - [highschool, afternoon, Wednesday]
[Your class. That day. SUDDENLY PAPER AIRPLANE COLLIDING WITH YOUR HEAD. There's a dry giggle from behind, the owner of the paper plane clearly very amused with herself. What do?]

And then Marisa sits at the table and pillows her head in her arms. A moment later and she starts snoring. It was too early in the morning apparently.]

And what about her? She's currently strumming out tunes on a bass that looks suspiciously like an axe. Actually, scratch that. It looks exactly like an axe. Razor-sharp blades and all.]
... What, was that supposed to annoy me or something? C'mon, that's like something one of the drone kids would do. Totally lame.

Mion has no words for a moment or two. Rika was really just fine, here, in this weird town? Then that means she must have escaped. So, she didn't die in vain--]
Yeah.
Are you...alright, Rika?
